Coaches will also explain their meet schedule and what duel meets they have this year and which ones they are mainly looking forward too. You can find out how the coach views the team and their confidence in the team to improve.

Questions Coaches Ask
This is the first question a coach will ask you. They like to find out about the hobbies and activities you do outside of swim and school. This will give them a better understanding about your personality and what you are like as a person.
Coaches want to know what you are striving for this year. This can be times you want to go, cut times you want to make, or even technique you want to clean up.
Coaches are always interested in seeing what type of practices you have during the week. This includes what types of practices do you do during the week (ie. endurance, quality, power, recovery). They are also very curious in whether you lift during the week or do drylands and cardio outside the pool.
Many coaches want to know about the academic side of being a student-athlete. For many schools they want to see what classes you are taking to see if you would fit in academically to the school. If you are talking to coaches in the summer they tend to want to know your next years schedule so make sure you have a general idea of the classes you are taking.
