When recruitment begins it will be exciting but will also start to become stressful. The process adds another tasks to do in your hectic day. For the majority of athletes, attending school, one or two swim practices a day and doing homework takes up the majority of the day, so how do you properly incorporate recruiting into it? You can use these 3 topics in order to handle stress.
The most useful way to organize yourself is to put all your tasks and events into a calendar. I have used both Google and Apple calendars. They are easy to use and you can access them anytime you need!
It is super easy to overbook yourself and fill every minute of your life up, but don't do it! Make sure you have free time in your day to calm down and focus on yourself. It is important to know that even if a college coach mentions a time to talk that doesn't work with your swim/school calendar, you can always say "no" and reschedule it.
You need to realize that academics is the main priority in your life. While swimming does seem like your entire life, you need to make sure you are doing well in school! My swim coach has always listed the priorities of my life to me in this way,
It goes academics, athletics (including recruitment), and then social. Make sure while you have a busy life that you are focusing on school first!
