The most simply way to begin the recruitment process is to create a list of different schools that you will want to reach out to once June 15th arrives. You should properly research the athletic aspects of the school first. Using this link you will find a complete list of all the NCAA schools, including Division I, II, & III. You can match up your times to their current season times and make a list of the schools that would fit you athletically (make note that you want to aim for schools that are a little faster than your current time, as you will improve the next two years before you go to college).
Once you have made your athletic list, you can then search the colleges or university and see their academic accomplishments. If you have a major already planned out, research schools that excel in that field of education. You will want a list of 10-20 schools to reach out to once June 15th comes!
A nice way to organize potential schools and also schools that you are currently talking to is in a google doc.
To the left is an example of how to organize schools to remember important information about them.
